Reading and watching all the news about the new Qualcomm Oryon chips and I'm excited for the future. What I would really like to see is a Linux compatible laptop with:
1. The build quality/look of a ThinkPad.
2. The performance and battery life of MacBook Pro M1/2/3.
3. The fanlessness (definitely not a word) of the MacBook Air.
Not asking for much really.

What? How long have I been using this system? Why is zip not installed?
I currently work across multiple PC devices, a desktop at work and a desktop and laptop at home. I would like to reduce the number of devices I use and maintain, so I'm planning on just using the laptop in future. The laptop is a ThinkPad T470s and it's my favourite device to use, although not as powerful as my desktops. Anyhow, I've just ordered a spare power brick for the laptop and a USB-C to HDMI adaptor so that I can use the laptop with a couple of external displays at work.
How do you politely inform someone that their flippant use of punctuation, such as multiple exclamation marks in article titles, is bad form? This person also uses multiple periods (not always the same number) in place of an ellipsis. I'm not a grammar Nazi, but this stuff grates on me.

I've just been reliably informed (whilst standing at the water cooler) that the Egyptian pyramids are not ancient burial chambers, but are in fact power sources, like giant batteries. Who knew?
Mixing it up this morning. Showed a support engineer how to boot a borked laptop. Offered to rip some old network cables out of a wall. Sometimes it's good to get your hands dirty.
Dad’s woodworking shed.
Creating a folksonomy editor, which is fine, except my brain refuses to let me type 'folksonomy' quickly.
Sunday night and Becky is selling contraband on some far off planet (Starfield), whilst I’m inspecting my todo list for next week.
