Mastodon is free and open-source software for running self-hosted social networking services. It has microblogging features similar to Twitter, which are offered by a large number of independently run nodes, known as instances or servers, each with its own code of conduct, terms of service, privacy policy, privacy options, and content moderation policies.

Interesting to read that Vivaldi are supporting the new Social Web Foundation, but there is no sign of Mozilla. I guess this is not a surprise as they announced they were shutting down their Mastodon instance last week. Just seems like something they should be involved with.

I've updated my Twitter profile. I'm hoping that I've made it obvious enough that I'm not using Twitter any more.
Taking a look at the Mammoth app on iOS. It’s very nice. I’ll probably use it for a while longer before deciding whether I prefer it to the official Mastodon client. I’ve been using the official client a lot and I think it’s also very nice. I guess it’s good to have options.
