Folksonomy: warhammer40k

Finished reading The Lion: Son Of The Forest by Mike Brooks. I've not read a Space Marine novel for a while and it made a nice change from the Astra Militarum books I've been reading of late. Mike Brooks is one of my favourite authors, his writing style just clicks with my brain and I find his books hard to put down.

Finished reading Siege of Vraks - A Death Korps Novel by Steve Lyons. It was a good read, but I think I enjoyed Krieg a little more. The story follows several characters through numerous battles in the multi-year siege of Vraks. There are strong Nazi "cult of death" vibes in this book.

Finished reading Krieg - A Death Korps Novel by Steve Lyons. I went into this one not knowing much about the Krieg faction, so it was a fascinating read and I really enjoyed it. Also, with just a couple of storylines, it was an easy read but hard to put down. I'm looking forward to reading Siege of Vraks next.

Completed Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and Space Marine 2 on the Steam Deck. Great games. The original ran much better then the sequel, but both were enjoyable.

Finished reading The Fall of Cadia by Robert Rath. Took me a while to get through this one as I kept picking it and putting it down - I think the multi-stranded storyline broke my rhythm. That said, I enjoyed the story and it really heated up towards the end.

Just finished reading Deathworlder - An Astra Militarum Novel by Victoria Hayward. It was a good read and I particularly enjoyed how the Tyranids were portrayed - it never occurred to me that they would be vocally silent, which is quite terrifying.

Just finished reading Longshot - An Astra Militarum Novel by Rob Young. The Imperial Guard are one of my favourite Warhammer 40k factions and I enjoyed reading this a lot. I've got Deathworlder lined-up for my next read.
